Lookup data

The browser extracts a domain from an email address or URL and sends the normalized query name, record type and resolver choice to our lookup endpoint (PTR queries convert an IP address to a reverse DNS name), which queries the selected public DNS service. We do not operate a lookup-history database or user accounts. Recent lookups stay in the current page’s memory and disappear on reload.

Infrastructure

Cloudflare processes site requests and may process IP addresses, request information and security data. The endpoint uses an IP-based rate limiter; the application does not write IPs to a database. Cloudflare and Google handle DNS queries under their own policies. Do not submit confidential internal domain names.

Advertising and cookies

This site integrates Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies, device information and IP addresses to serve, measure and personalize advertising, depending on region and your choices. Applicable privacy messages are provided through Google’s Privacy & messaging system. When available, use the footer’s privacy settings entrypoint to revisit your choice.

Sharing and exports

A shared lookup link contains the domain. Exported JSON includes the domain, DNS response and lookup time. Share these files or links only when intended. Clipboard access depends on browser permission, and downloads are saved on your device.
